NKL Race #1 Postponed to next weekend
Due to the outlook of the forecast for this weekend, we have decided to go ahead and make the tough decision to POSTPONE the 2nd Annual Peach State Shootout until next Saturday, February 20th. The forecast for this week calls for temperatures well below freezing for most of the week which makes track prep work nearly impossible. Normally on races like this, track prep would have started yesterday but we have yet to be able to touch the race track due to rain and snow and it looks to be Friday before we can start on the track. Not to mention the high for Saturday is only supposed to be in the mid 30’s with lows in the 20’s. That’s entirely too cold for anyone to be out in, especially kids, plus it’s the perfect formula for a long and miserable day. We would rather postpone than race until the wee hours of the morning. We wanted to make a call early to save time and money for those racers who are currently prepping tires and equipment and save those who are traveling from the northeast and midwest who were planning on leaving tomorrow.
Parking and pre registration will remain current. You do not have to contact us unless you cannot make it next weekend and wish to cancel. There will be not be any changes made to the format, payouts, or running order.
