Effective January 1st, 2018 all classes at Dawgwood Speedway will have a Burris tire rule. There are several reasons for this move but the biggest reason is the fact the Burris tires last longer, require less work to get ready for race day and are a more economical. Over the last decade the cost of karting has gone up tremendously and to make racing as affordable as possible we are making this change.
Timeline
October – December
The current tire will stay in affect through December 31st, 2017. Dawgwood will run both Maxxis and Burris classes.
January 1st
All classes will use Burris Tires.
Winter Series
The winter series will be a money race series this year. In December, you can run either Maxxis or Burris tires. Starting in January you must be on Burris tires.
